Preparation: The pages of the document are collated and punched with rectangular holes along the edge where the binding will be placed. Velo binding machines are typically used for this purpose.
VeloBind Strips: VeloBind strips are available in various lengths to accommodate different document sizes. The strip has rigid tines spaced at regular intervals along its length.
Inserting Pages: The punched pages are inserted onto the tines of the VeloBind strip, ensuring that they are aligned correctly.
Hot Knife Binding: The next step involves using a Velo binding machine that incorporates a hot knife mechanism. The hot knife is pressed down over the tines of the VeloBind strip, melting the plastic and forming a tight bond between the pages.
Cooling and Setting: After the hot knife process, the plastic cools and hardens, creating a durable and tamper-resistant binding.
Trimming (Optional): For a neat and professional appearance, excess VeloBind strip may be trimmed from the edge of the document.
